Mulga and Mud 1
Claire Freer
Whilst staying in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands I sourced the clay with the local artists. I then hand built this piece and fired it in a pit using acacia aneura (mulga) wood. The fragility of earth and the volatility of fire is highlighted in the work, revealing its scars, with some fragments lost in the ashes.
