New Days and Old Days, Titjikala

New days (left)
Wild bush flowers on top of the sandhill, there was nice bush, grass. Old tin shed with the branches, like gumtree, put em in the top of the shed to make it cool. Normal day, people walking around and talk with people, telling story. All the dogs, too many dogs. All the cars cruising round. The moon was bright, we didn't need torch.

Old days (right)
It’s Ration Day, they carrying ration bags from the station. No water then, no toilet, no power, nothing. It was a really hard time. One sheep, name was Damper, he always eating the damper. Kids pushing old tin toy like a car. Old tin shed, really hot in there. Everyday dust storm would come. People sitting in the humpies, drinking tea, soup. Donkey always come and look around for water, poor thing, it’s hard for him too.
